Crafting the Perfect Easy Menu for a Solo Game Night at Home

Sometimes, the only thing that you might want to do is to have a chill night in and simply game the night away in peace. And everyone knows that one of the best things you could do is pair your gaming session with some delicious food. If you need some inspiration, make sure to keep reading as we’ll create the ideal menu that will add to your night.

Picking the Right Game

Before we get into the food, you need to know what game you could go for. Personally, when it comes to solo sessions, it’s best to pick something that allows you to play by yourself but also has the option to enjoy with other players should you wish to.

For instance, if you enjoy table games, then playing roulette online via an online casino would fit the bill. This is due to the fact that you’d be able to access variants like Classic European Roulette and American Roulette where you can play completely by yourself. Or, you could opt to play live dealer roulette for real money, for a more immersive and social experience.

If you haven’t played live dealer roulette before, this is simply roulette played with an actual human host who is streamed through live audio and video feeds. Moreover, you can interact with other users using the chat box feature available.

And for those who have never played roulette at all, it’s a fairly simple game that doesn’t require experience to get into properly. There’s no major learning curve to it, you simply need to wager on where you believe the ball will fall into and then watch if you bet correctly or not.

To make things even easier, you could check out the Practice Play mode, which would allow you to try out the game without making a deposit. This is also great when you want to test out any new strategy you might have learned or thought of before actually using it in a real roulette session.

But, another reason we picked roulette, is that it doesn’t require you to use both hands when playing. This means that you can easily snack on the foods we’ll mention below, without any added hassle or taking you away from your desk.

Savory Bites

While there’s nothing wrong with going for the classic takeout from McDonalds or any of your to-go spots, there’s nothing better than homemade food. Since you want to keep one hand free to enjoy your game, we’ve gone for options that don’t require two hands to enjoy.

You can never go wrong with a classic pizza for a game night. We’d suggest buying premade pizza dough from your local supermarket, making this an easier recipe, along with your favorite toppings.

Personally, we’d go for a homemade tomato sauce but even a premade one will do. Then top it generously with mozzarella and parmesan, roasted red peppers, and a few dollops of pesto before baking it in an oven until golden.

If you’d rather have something more of a snack than a full-blown meal, you can craft your own charcuterie board. Here, we’d suggest adding sharp cheese, a creamy option, and at least one that is on the funkier side. For that finger-licking sweet and salty combo, add something like honey or red onion chutney.

When it comes to cured meats, options like salami and prosciutto would work perfectly. Don’t forget to fill in the gaps of your board with nuts, along with crackers and toasted sourdough bread.

An alternative and lighter option would be to go for classic vegetable crudites and dips. Here, we’d suggest going for crunchy vegetables and serving it with a tangy lemon hummus or a blue cheese dip.

Sweet Treats

There’s nothing quite like a sweet treat to round off your gaming night. If you want to keep it healthy, simply create fruit skewers with seasonal options available to you.

If you’d rather have something a bit more filling, we’d opt for mini muffins. Since they’re small, you won’t have to worry about any crumbles ending up on your keyboard.

All you need for this is flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, eggs, milk, and oil/butter. Then add whatever you want for flavorings, such as blueberries or chocolate chips before baking.

And if you truly want to make this an indulgent experience, we’d highly recommend making your own cake pops. You can even use a box cake mix to make it easier, bake it as instructed, and then crumble it all up.

Once it’s nice and crumbles, mix in your favorite frosting and turn them into little balls before skewering them. To take them to the next level, make sure to then dip them into melted chocolate and garnish them with sprinkles.

Conclusion

We reckon a solo game night in is one of the best things you can do when you just want to relax. And making the ideal menu for such a night really doesn’t have to be overtly complicated to still be utterly delectable. So, even if you don’t go for our aforementioned options, we hope this inspires you to elevate your dining-at-home standards.
